Ok, so Squalman is a myth perhaps? The basis for all the "How-Not-To-Act" etc. stuff. Well, he grew up. Squalman is turning 16 on September 11th. Squalman doesnt work much in ags anymore. But he misses his old life and community. Squalman worked with ags ages ago. Back in the days before the new gui, back when graphical scripts were still used. Back when Screen 17 was producing games. Infact, Squalman was a small annoying member of Marky (mods) lovegrow's game design company called Screen 7. Squalman may be a legend, he may not be. And despite all his "Comebacks" (hah), and "Returns" he never really did... return. Like Yahtzee. He was made of only rumors after his dissappear after completing his very first complete ( :) game called "A Cup of coffee and a thousand bathroombreaks" (Thanks goes out to AGA for hosting this game during its short lifetime). So, now squalman has returned once again (again hah) to bring the plague to AGS. Having used ags since he was either 7 or 12, he doesnt remember, he feels he may once again be a working part of his most beloved community. As it used to be, the definition of a Squalman was "A disgrace to all carbon based lifeforms". That is the legacy (and my last 'hah') squally left behind, hoping to correct once again so people will realize he was serious back in the day of "Warriors of Light" (ok, another hah) he just didnt know what to do. Hey, i tried.

Well, I'm sorry this turned into a speech. But oh well.

just a short "cheerio" from vienna to this lovely community...

we've just released our first full length game with the AGS engine and i wanted to thank not only chris for his brilliant work but also all the helpful people on the forums. though i didn't ask one single question during the development-time (1 1/2 years) by myself...  i could find everything i wanted to know in the archives... with great success: our game has been downloaded more than 2500 times (we've been "boingboinged") since it's release date last weekend....

although my time is very limited i will try to contribute and help in the boards as good as i can...

Wops, maybe should have posted here for a while ago.. but anyway, I'm a 16 year old swedish guy, who likes Lucasarts adventure games, and also Space Quest and other games like it.
I found this site just when me and my cousin had finished MOTAS, I think there was a link on the site...The first game we played when we entered the site was 5 days... and we where stunned, we started on our own game (wich is still in development). Later I discovered that the only serie who beats the 5 days... is the BJ serie...
I also like football and music and belive hard on the local team Helsingborgs IF.

Well..thats it, hope I didn't bore you and that my english wasn't to bad...

Hi everyone, I just want to introduce myself here in this nice community, where I never posted before, probably 'couse i had nothing interesting to say...
 
Anyway I'm just another faithful adventure game lover, who has always dreamed to make one....
But has never had enough time/skills/resources/opportunity to do... 

I knew about the great AGS a lot of years ago (5 or 7?) I contributed with one of the oldest italian translation of the engine... 

But I never dared to make my own project before...

Well, recently I found some spare time and i decided to face my luck and to plan my first project with AGS....

I don't know how will be the results, since I think I'm a good coder/scripter but I have no graphics skills at all.... 

Anyway I have just some "tons" of ideas for my project, and I hope I'll make something good  of them.... 

For now I just want to thank you all for reading this too-long-poor-english post and to announce that soon i will give more details about my project...

Hey everyone!

Well, lessee.. My name is Andy Rossetter, but most everyone (save my fiance and parents) calls me Ross.

A little about me.. I am brand new to AGS, but not new to programming. I am a student (temporarily on hold, but I'll get to that) at FullSail, studying Game Design. I excel at the bare knuckle programming, but I am a little lax on the graphics/music side of the house, something I am working on the title I am currently working on.. I joined the forums to meet some of the people behind the games I have been playing (I LOVE the Ben jordan series, BTW! Kudos, man!).

So right now I am posting to you live from Iraq. Interesting place, but I think Orlando, Florida (home!) is a little nicer, call me strange. When I was 18 (24 now), I went ahead and enlisted, partly for the adventure and experience, but mostly for the college money.

.. Okay, so I did it for the college money, period. Well, it worked for the most part, except that I was recalled almost three years after I got out, and here I am! I left FullSail in the middle of my program, with the promise that I could pick up where I left off upon my return.

So, this is starting to get a little long, therefore I will refer you back to the original sentence of this post, which sums everything up nicely..
