Hi Jabbage,
Your art is simply beautiful. When I saw that the violin is interactive and then saw the bee hives this scene from Sherlock Holmes immediately came into my head: //wSAGkwpPC8Q

I know these are flies, but still... :)

These backgrounds really caught me eye - they look awesome. Especially the daylight one. However, I wouldn't make the project dependent on the response to the thread. Carry on only if you feel like it.

Also, a pet as a protagonist? Cyberpunk setting? Feels like a canine response to Stray :)

I know. GOGs giveaways last for a few hours, tops. I am sure I've missed dozens of them.

I changed my post because I realized that I shouldn't pollute this thread with unrelated stuff. Oh, well...

I see what you mean. I thought it was something more generic.

Nevertheless...
Spoiler

...the Kommissarin has got some sick moves. It looks awesome.

There you go: "If you are looking for a change from classic pixel-art, you are in a for a treat. Jump into the beautifully hand-drawn, yet crazy, world of Clotilde Soffritti and help her get away from an asteroid where she's been stuck for way too long... Also, a nostalgia kick guaranteed for all comic-book lovers!"

Didn't you mention something about a free animation, Creamy ;)?

Sorry Creamy, I didn't notice your post before. I am away today, so if anyone could help me out with the description that would be grant. If not, I may try to cobble sth together before midnight :)

My eye! the game? Nope.

If that was the title, it'd have been very appropriate.

All game ideas seem to have been taken already  :~(

Yeah, I know what you mean. But this also reminds of all the horror games, both commercial and hobby ones, that are being released every day. There are literally thousands of them, and to me they all look pretty much the same. The story/dialogues often make little to no sense, whatsoever, and in all of them you walk about some dark areas with a flashlight that needs to be charged every now and again. Having watched dozens of them, I couldn’t believe how similar they are. But then despite all that, people still love them and want to play them. I think that what am trying to say is every time I dwell too long on the fact that I can’t come up with anything original, I think of the horror games. Maybe if the formula is right, it's ok to stick to it.

I think this is a great idea. This would make my life way easier, because every single time I want to check how (or if) a variable changes I need to create a gui, add a label and then update it's text all the time. Provided it's a string, if it's float or int I have to parse it and so on and so on. So yeah, having a simple console logging function would be great.

Isn't it The Prince and The Coward again?

I was thinking Dragonsphere at first, but then I noticed these lions in the corners. Are they the Scottish lion rampart?

Something to do with Atlantis? (Given the big non-existent continent to the west of Australia)

Or is that "Libraria" or something, considering the big scales on it?

Lol, I didn't even notice it, until you pointed it out. I am not sure how this place was called in the game, but it definitely was the last stop, where the main character and his nemesis would check who collected more gold.

Perhaps it's a DuckTales game, then?

Yup, it's a DuckTales game. The full title is DuckTales: The Quest for Gold. And I wasn't kidding. The levels with the mummy jumping out on you were really close to giving me a heart attack.

Over to you, heltenjon :)

Hacker?

No, the game's universe isn't really tech oriented. It has more of an adventure/Indiana Jones' vibe imo.

Carmen Sandiego?

Edit: the ‘where in time’ version of the game

No, but it's a very popular franchise.

Thanks Frodo. I might use it as well.

Here we go:

As a kid, I suffered nightmares because of that game. It's not a horror, though ;)

I think an actual fantasy writer was hired to write the story for it. Do you find it hard? My brother had a big box edition when it came out. I remember giving it a go at least twice and getting stuck pretty early on : )

I'll try to post sth soon.

Hang on a minute... Is that a Polish game called "KsiÄ...żę i Tchórz" (The Prince and the Coward)? In some other countries I think it was called  Gallador or sth like that?

The damage might have been done but it's good to know that the project is still alive, though. I myself have been waiting for some updates on the development. I keep fingers crossed for you eri0o.

Is the game going to be that big?
