You don't ever have to unwrap a highpoly for texture baking. Often a highpoly is made first, then a lowpoly is made based of the highpoly. You then unwrap the lowpoly. But it doesn't really matter when you do this. Just make sure you have it unwrapped when you start baking. Also you are going to want to have as little  UV stretching as possible to get the best results.
Ah, I see. Ok, thank you.

Silly question, but I hope somebody will give a realtive simpe anwser: It's about 3d models and normal maps. It's sort of a thing whre I can't find the connection between two things.
- I plan to try out in Mudbox and 3dsmax. For example I make a low poly mesh and I would than paint it and make a high poly mesh in Mudbox (by building upon it, subdividing it in Mudbox and sculpting etc.)
- I plan to use xNormal for making the normal map (it uses a low poly and high poly .obj and then automatically makes a normal map, which is cool and easier than what I've seen done in Max itself)

The question I have is do I have to unwrap the texture for low poly before modeling the high poly model and then again unwrap high poly model after it's finished, cause I don't how the unwrapped stuff will match when it's an image like png, jpg etc. And do I paint only the high poly model so when a normal map is applied, it fits better?

...Or maybe because that particular country earns billions from UFO myths through literature, games, TV-shows and movies?
Entertainment industry earning profit from unproven stories, myths and superstitions? Don't be ridiculous.

Beneton Movie GIF is a lightweight tool for animating gifs that I use. It will auto convert PNG and BMP to GIF and has support for transparency. It's freeware.
(Thanks, NsMn!)
Hmm, this is cool. Kinda avoids the limitation of the Graphicsgale free version...which is cool legit way of doing stuff.  :)

Hey, you sort of look like Vince12 but with different hair color. In any case, always nice to see a happy family.

Cutey little kids!! Personally with all the pedophilia on the other topic, I'd be more careful. Ags is not a safe place anymore.
Not to mention if Technocrat has a weekend off, then nobody is safe.  ;D

Um... does anyone know how sidewalks looked like in Europe of XIX century? Were they paved or already made from asphalt sometimes?
Also if anyone can link a good  mid-late XIX century photograph or painting of street with sidewalk clearly visible I'd be much grateful.
Search for daguerrotypes, it's the middle to late 19th century photography.
There is Paris http://z.about.com/d/inventors/1/0/u/3/1/Daguerreotype1839.jpg
And lots in N America http://www.zazzle.com/philadelphia_scene_daguerreotype_1842_poster-228230445527699125

Also try calotype, but since daguerrotype was the first process, they made lots of photos of 19th century cities and nature though they're veeery fragile so some photos might be low quality.
Additional info - late 18 century saw the invention of tyres so I guess paving started then, on the other hand I think streets in Paris were paved after the revolution so people can't pull out blocks and throw them.
Additional additional - movies like From hell, new Sherlock Holmes, Burton's Sleepy hollow etc.

Inflatable flying ship? ...just guessing.

Don't know about the camera thing, but I think that can be worked out with something like making a 3d rig - just some shapes put together so you know where you should put the camera and an X (or a dot) where the character will be - that way you know where to put the camera etc.

There's 3d Swift, it's a flash animator, but it's relativly easy to get to work with, though it doesn't have skeletal animation (at least I don't think the new versions still don't have it). It is in the non-free category.
There's Anim8or - this one is actually free and it uses cylinders and basic stuff like that. Haven't actually tried it but it looks okay. If you really aren't going for too much details and such, then it might be just the thing you're looking for. http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html
And there's a bunch really beginner tutorials on their website, so it look easy to get into: http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html

Heat = atomic motion
vacuum = (almost) no atoms.
No atoms = no heat loss or warming up by conduction

So the hot soup stays hot and cools down very slowly because a perfect vacuum is nearly impossible.
But I guess that theoretically the hot soup stays hot as long as there is no conduction.
...then how do we get heat from the Sun here on Earth? Heat is not atomic motion in the sense it's the atoms, it's the energy that makes the atoms move/vibrate...it's not only energy waves, but it's EM waves - the ones that don't need matter/medium to spread...
Or did I just make an ass out myself?  :-\

Yeah, about the gravity ball in orbit thing, as zabnat said, even though the speed is determined by the air friction very much, the forces that act upon the ball should be equivalent, well in the vertical direction (meaning that gravity and the part of centrifugal force that pushes the ball away from the center of Earth are same but in opposite directions), but there should be the part of the centrifugal force that moves the ball in the direction you threw it (so it moves "horizontally"). It's all in the vectors.  ;D

While on astronauts thing - they should give them something like the ropes Batman uses for grapling (only maybe with some thing sticky or magnets at the end, so they don't damage the actual ship). They should have that on their arms so if the drift away they just point it at the shuttle and shoot...maybe they even have that.

@Nacho: Lol

@Wesray: maybe it's just me, but you kinda remind me of Orlando Bloom. And yes, it looks like Mr. Al Cohol was there.  ;D
