The thing with shower/bathroom/walking is that it has the same as effect as when you can't think of a name or movie title or something, but it's at the tip of your tongue and then as soon as you start to do something else it just kind of makes your brain "relax" and cleans everything you were thinking at that moment, changes your thoughts, but brain being versatile as it is, manages to remember.
While on the subject, there's a really cool speech about creativity from John Cleese https://vimeo.com/18913413 it offers some hints at the stuff you mentioned as well and tips on how to be creative in a practical way, achieving what he refers to an "open mode" and then getting back into "closed mode" to be productive. Not only informative but funny too.

I don't know, lol :D I keep thinking though.
Seriously? You save the world. You save the cheerleader, you save the world. Don't know what it has to do with the movie though.

Anian's right, I could have given some tips!  I AM FASCINATING AND INFORMATIVE! Here's two for you, Anian:
Too little too late, if it's not in the podcast, I ain't acknowledging it.

Not that I minded mr. XII, quite the opposite, but I really liked the art discussion and tips parts from previous episodes.  :undecided:

Did you see that one with Tim Curry? You might lose interest in ever seeing another Addams Family film after witnessing it.
Well it was the last one, plus it's far from the worst thing Addams related.
Also Dr. Frank-N-Furter/Gabriel Knight etc. man should not be put down.  :undecided:

I'm loving the ending 4 minutes. Very engrossing.
Indeed, making suggestions and questions is mentioned like ten times in the episode and then there's the ending produced by a comment from the first episode.  There is a warning before it so I guess it's ok.

But, yeah, interesting, just the right timing as well, I wanted to listen to something before going to sleep.

QuoteI mean just as a simple example Ctrl+Z, which is Undo in every Windows program I know, in PM it's not.

I love the interface for Pro Motion, it's slick and to the point.  And apparently you didn't know (so I'm educating you) that you can remap every control to a key of your choice via the preferences.
Yeah, somebody mentioned it before, I tried an older version, apparently I checked the manuals and they changed it.
The key shortcut was just an example, I just couldn't get used to it for some reason, that's the major reason I hated Blender for a long time as well.

A while ago somebody posted a website where you could choose a color and the site would show you some colors that combined with it.
Do you know which site I'm talking about?
Thank you.
I don't know what it is, but recently I found this page COLORlovers they have some interesting stuff under the Tools section as well.

If anyone web wise with html knowledge is able to help me get a "contact form" working (ie a text box and submit button) please get in touch! I haven't been able to get it to work - can't quite get my head around it. Thanks!
Did you try something like this?
http://www.freecontactform.com/html_form.php
Just put the first part into your html page, modify the stuff you need, mainly the width and other design choices.
The other part you just need to save as a php page, also basically copy paste and of course change the mail address (it's noted where you change it in the code).
I mainly use wordpress forms, but I can try this out on my server if you want. This is probably a good solution, though if you start getting spam a captcha should be put in as well, but cross that bridge if you get there.
EDIT: I've checked it, it works ok, just remember to change the mail address at the beginning of the php part plus this is a very strict form (first and last name have to be without numbers and have to start with a capital letter)

Just lower the volume of music when you talk next, or maybe no music at all, at the Metal dead part I was really having trouble understanding what was being said. Otherwise, interesting stuff.

I agree with GraphicsGale (although I have some issues with getting transparency), I tried Pro Motion and while it has a lot of good tools for pixel art, the interface is clunky and really unusual. I mean just as a simple example Ctrl+Z, which is Undo in every Windows program I know, in PM it's not.

Also ASE Sprite is pretty good, doesn't have a big range of tools and the layers/frames view could be in a separate window instead of having to switch, but otherwise it's pretty light and easy to get used to.

Hi!

My friend found a phone last week and gave it to me today, because he couldn't get it to work. He had already reverted to factory settings. Apparently it's a HTC EVO 3D. And I can see how he couldn't get it to work. There is no slot for a SIM card, and I gather that that's typical for the US version. I live in Slovakia, so this is pretty new to me.

Is there any way to get this kind of thing to work in Europe?
Like this http://www.htc.com/help/au/howto_iframe.aspx?id=88649ype=1&p_id=398 ?

Apparently the US version doesn't use a SIM card...because, you know, Americans :P The European version should have it, but the US one doesn't, it's the CDMA and GSM versions differnces.

Well lets continue the theme. Kind of weird shot, but still a lot of hints in it.
It's not animated btw, although I think it might kind of look like that in this scene.I caught this movie one evening, with nothing to do and I thought it was gonna be terrible, but I couldn't stop watching it.

That's "Super". A really weird movie and maybe even better than Kick-Ass, although it has it's problems as well.

Not sure if this was posted already, but if so, it's still worth a second look.

67 year old man don't take crap from nobody!

http://www.iviewtube.com/v/124787/old-white-man-beats-up-black-kid-fight-on-bus
There is another linked video clip there where the guy explains what happened and what was actually said. Also the 67yo is actually a Vietnam vet who was later a dealer and even was in jail, so he's anything but a whimp.

That is awesome btw, this kind of things should happen more often. I usually think in a very defensive way (as in I don't get into fights with people I don't know, because they can be real nut jobs and beat the s*** out of me even though I'm a pretty big guy) but people who provoke and attack don't think of it that way, they don't expect of somebody to best them and hurt them. If more bullies (well that's the least offensive name I can think of) face more people like that 67yo guy, that may look frail but are actually borderline insane and are stronger and won't back off, they wouldn't be molesting people for fun or because they want to act tough.

.tk domains are for free. But I don't know if they show advertsing. Iirc there is a small adbar on your site then.
Or if it is okay, you can get a 3rd level domain like yourname.eu.tp for free. Or go with yourname.agser.me.
I was just kidding, besides I tried setting up wordpress on bplaced and the site has "name.bplaced.net" type of address, that's fine enough for now.

000webhost is not bad but one day we had an ad appearing out of nowhere on every page. It only advertised payed hosting with the 000webhost service but was annoying nonntheless. After ~2weeks it disappeared. I recommend bplaced.net though. The only 'disadvantage' is that you have to log into your command panel every 2 month, but this should be doable. ~99% uptimes, 2GB storage, unlimited traffic, 2 FTP accounts, lots of MySQL databases, up to date php, adfree, what do you want more?!
Theoretically, a domain name.   Just kidding. This sounds pretty good and the log in every 2 months is not really a disadvantage.

Thank you, both.

I'm looking for free web hosting for a wordpress (it says PHP 5.2.4 or greater and MySQL 5.0 or greater are conditions). I'd basically need it for portfolio and for a good amount of experimenting for modifying themes (most are offering about 5gb of traffic, I'm assuming that's ok, especially if most of the traffic only I am doing by checking the site every half an hour (or minutes) to see if the stuff like style.css is working ok.

http://freehosting1.net/ has good list but I'm not sure how old is that site I'd like to ask from recent experience.

Sites like
http://www.ifastnet.com/
http://www.000webhost.com
awardspace etc.
I'm looking here and not google, because I'd like some personal opinions on traffic space.

Legion... or maybe End of days, that has Judgement day (mr Arnold) and holy judgement day theme.

I don't know if it would cause trouble if you come out and shot a photo of him and the car. The guy seems weird as is, so I don't know nay normal conversation would be an option. I don't even think he's trying to rob your place...or he's just a bad burglar.
Maybe a neighborhood watch report or find a local police patrol and ask for advice. They can check I think pretty quickly if you ask them nicely.

If you're bold, just call the DMV and pretend you're a cop. Just give them some random name and badge number; chances are they won't check it.
The other thing is, what are you going to do after you find out his name and address? I get why you're curious, but knowing his name isn't going to help you that much I guess.
Indeed, knowing the name won't help out much, but if you pretended to be a cop (which I'm kind of sure is a crime) to the DMV, then there's no stopping you from coming to the driver and talking about "an investigation"...again, you might get hurt doing that.

Yeah, not that I am that knowledgeable (even though I finished a school for printing technologies), but I never heard of DS and, as Kweepa mentioned, google doesn't turn up anything either.

Thing is, if you have a pdf file for example (it is usually good to see what kind of files and settings they work best with and prepare the documents before sending), you should be able to send them that. Pdf has number and sizes of pages in it and it's their problem how they're going to print it, because it basically depends on what kind of a machine they have for printing (what size of paper it uses). They then make their own estimates and calculations of materials they're gonna use and how the whole thing is going to be bended and cut, and usually that's where the price comes from, although they might have some preset sizes.

You just need to tell them what kind of binding you want, presumably, since it's for a disk booklet, staples are usually chosen. If it's paperback type of book then it's glued and stitched if it's hardcover.
