Yay!  Think I had this on the C16?  The hieroglyphs were a clue anyway

Okay, staying on an Egyptian theme:

Sneakers?

You got it.

A cool film which I finally watched recently.

Aw man why didn't I guess that?!?  One of my all-time favourite films.

Pharaoh's Tomb?

I'll sort out GameJolt and the AGS Games Page ASAP but for now the updated demo is available from https://captaind.itch.io/captain-disaster-in-death-has-a-million-stomping-boots.

The old demo from 2012 is still available but we're updating it to reflect the final quality of the game - has taken a little longer than expected due to RL issues but should be available soon.  I'll post when it is, will be putting it up on Itch and GameJolt (and FireFlower if they host demos).  Watch this space!

I actually thought CaptainD had figured it out when I saw his "StarDucks" post but then realized this was the name of a coffee shop in his game CDIDHAMSB and then realized it was probably just a joke answer.

Actually it was a bit of both - since StarDucks was, obviously, based on StarBucks - but it was probably more joke than genuine so congrats Kweepa! ;-D

I thought Starbucks had already been guessed but I just realised CaptainD actually said StarDucks. And seeing Kweepa's rationale it can't possibly be anything else.

Yeah "StarDucks" probably won't make sense to anyone who hasn't played Act III of Captain Disaster in: Death Has A Million Stomping Boots!

Looks like an early Heroes of Might and Magic game.

Thunderblade on a really old system perhaps?  Trying to think what the colour palette reminds me of, can only think maybe the Commodore Vic-20.

StarDucks!

Aha!  I was wondering how long it would take you to come across this place Kristian :-D

Sort of a wild hunch but based on the fenced in location, even though the colour palette looks completely wrong - maybe a later port to an 8-bit system? - I'm going to take a stab at Full Throttle.

Oh, is it because you should never toss a dwarf?

That's it!

You can toss a coin, but NOBODY tosses a dwarf. :-D

I'll get me coat.

Something about that bugging me that I've played it... for some reason the hut on the right with the barrel and chimney stack looks familiar - however unless it came out on the ST or DOS, it's highly unlikely that I have played it.

Knightmare?

Okay I'm not sure what hint I can give here, but... it's based on a line from the book / film.
