QuoteSome more games with missing or not-working links:
[...]
Foggy Dawn is at
https://archive.org/details/foggy-dawn-v1.1

Fixed the links for Bob escapes and Foggy dawn in the database. They send you to Archive.org now.
It doesn't fix the games themselves though  := Go play something else.

Did Lorenzo just propose a pick against his own game to relieve FF from the guilt of having suggested a pick against Lorenzo's game...Ok I'm overthinking this  (laugh)

Thanks for the propositions everyone. I put them in the (stinky) fridge.

Roger that, FF!

A far cry from your previous choice  :-D
I like both games.

Thanks for stepping in FormosaFalanster.

However Patchwork was already chosen in February 2013. The list of previous picks can be found here.

I'll gladly retain any other AGS game. Please write a little text to promote it.

Thank you Heltenjon.

QuoteI’ve picked some times now, so perhaps someone else ought to chime in.
I appreciate your concern. I also try not to pick all the games myself.
That's why I've used enthusiastic comments from the game pages lately - with the consent of their author.

There's no limit per person so here's the deal: I'll use one of your suggestions unless another proposition is made.

Any suggestion for December?

Ahoy Captain!

QuoteThe Secret of Monkey Island (of course) to be among my favorite games of all time.
It's funny how many times these words have been pronounced around here when I've rarely met people who know the game in real life.

Thanks Heltenjon. I was about to pick an old game too.

I haven't played this one. I can only remember one other AGS game made with with Legos. It was pretty crazy and featured Fred Astaire.

Here comes June,
I need a blurb soon.

Please recommand a hidden gem
or there'll be a pick à la crème.

Thanks Kyriakos. I set it for May.

Having played the game myself, I just added this line : "Please don't skip the tutorial because the game features Quick Time Events."

Nice graphics. I was surprised to hear a french theme song. Before reading the presentation, I assumed the hero was spanish since he looks a bit like Zorro and the game is developed in Spain.

Entered April 2021 on the DeLorean keypad. Thank you Heltenjon

QuoteI can't believe The Cabin hasn't been awarded Pick of the Month yet, so:

The Cabin

"Why are you in this cabin? And where *is* this cabin? Why is snow the only thing you can remember? Piece together the clues in this enigmatic and beautiful first-person mystery!"

Hyperspace coordinates locked in, thank you  :)

QuoteWith the awards coming up, I guess some of the games from yesteryear will get their deserved attention there. I'll certainly be happy to write a suggestion about picking Zniw, Off the Clock or Money Mansion if they by some off chance don't win anything.
Yes, it's never too late to give some recognition to an overlooked game. That's something that I like in the Pick.  Only free games are eligible though (sorry Zniw).

Since you've been binge-playing games for the AGS Awards nominations, why not share your discoveries  ;-D

Just write a little blurb about any worthwhile free AGS game in this thread and we'll make it the next Pick of the month.

The list of previous Picks.

It's always a pleasure to catch up with this thread and discover awesome stuff. Post-rock and game OST make great background music.

Radio Radio's chiac in Dekshoo is as cool and incomprehensible as this song:

Belated thank you, Sinitrena. I've set Tampere's proposition for January and yours for February.

I am afraid we will need a bit more hints.

It's better NOT to catch the coins.

Why not?
That's the main game mechanic. Rising Dusk is advertised as an anti-coin collection platformer.See these black blocks with "12" written on them? They disappear if you catch 12 coins.

Anybody can propose a new game.

QuoteIf it was the very big bundle, that really doesn't narrow it down that much.
Yes it was. I started with a small clue.

Here's another one: in this game, the number of coins that you collect directly affect your surroundings.

It was featured on a very big bundle this year. And it's good.
