QuoteI Googled it, but I'm not sure this is the right answer. Is this the version you are telling?

Spoiler
The seagull tastes nothing like a 'seagull' that this person ate before...right?
[close]

Yes. The story's kinda gross.

QuoteWere they tears of joy?
No.

QuoteCreamy, I really would like to know the answer to your riddle. Can you give us a very direct hint or just tack the answer in a spoiler?
It's more complicated than what's been suggested so far. Hint:
Spoiler
Something to do with a past experience.

QuoteGlen was hiding in a room. In the room there are: A closet, a curtained window, and a bed. You checked the closet. No Glen. You checked behind the curtains. No Glen. You checked under the bed. No Glen. Where was Glen hiding?

Quote@Re: Mandle’s riddle. I think I’ve got it.

Spoiler
Glen is hiding behind you.

BINGO!!!

Really? That's a little underwhelming. I had imagined that Glen wasn't human, which makes it easier for him to hide. For instance, a cat could be hiding on top of the closet or in the bed.

QuoteHmm... is that the second part of Runaway?
It was released about the same time IIRC. Yet it probably didn't fare so well.

Steve Ince of Broken Sword fame has written dialogs for So Blonde.

QuoteFor future "pick of the month"s, let me dump this small blurb for My father’s secret.
Thanks Tampere. I'll keep it in my back pocket.

QuoteThat game was really good yes! Inspired me to do my first 16colors EGA Adventure game too! 8-)
Nice. That's the last MAGS game of September I haven't played.

EDIT: Pick changed.

For future picks, may I suggest that people propose something before the end of the month?

I would have thought 'Pick of the Month' should be about picking a game made that month, not from previous months, years ago...

I've always felt that it's about highlighting a game from the database, once a month, that (people feel) deserves more attention.

LimpinfFish is right. To quote M0ds on the first page:
Quoteany game in the AGS database qualifies

QuoteI love the creature design by the legendary Alex Toth!
I like his style. His comics are hard to find by my place.

QuoteDid she try to eat the seagull because she was hungry and there wasn't anything else?
No. But you're on the right track.

QuoteWas she crying because of the taste?
No.

QuoteI think I know this one! Though if it is the one I have in mind, I think the setup was different when I was first told it.
You're the third person to say that. I guess it's quite a popular one.

QuoteWas the woman a sailor
No.

Quotedid she spend some time at sea?
Not quite.

QuoteWas there something inside the seagull that caused her to cry?

Quote.
?

QuoteWas the seagull named Johnathon and was resented by his flock but then went off on a spiritual journey after his death and gathered other spiritual seagull followers to his side only to come back to reality and be shot by this woman and then she ate his flesh and realized he was the true seagull savior of the universe and that's why she cried?
That's definitely a different version  :-D

QuoteThis one ought to be in the Black Stories thread. I know it from before, so I won't participate in guessing.
I never read this thread, sorry.
After doing it, I agree that it's definitely more suited to its tone and format.

Let's give it up then.

QuoteQ: What am I?
A: Are you a riddle?

I thought the previous sentence was a hint in disguise:

QuoteQ: a new one to hopefully rebirth this thread. What am I?
A: A riddle

My sister-in-law said me a riddle some time ago:

A woman goes on a beach with a portable stove and a riffle. She shoots a seagull and cooks it. Then she tries to eat it, spits it out and bursts into floods of tears. Why?

You may ask questions and I'll give you a Yes or No response.

A riddle?
#197
QuoteWhat am I?
A miserable little pile of secrets.

I really dig Dreaming of Noir.

Thanks Lorenzo. It should appear on Tuesday  :)

Sorry for not being more responsive but my internet connection has been mistakenly cut off a week ago.

Played any good AGS game recently? Write a little blurb about it and have it featured on the main game page.

Cat asked me to lend a hand with the management of the pick but the rules remain unchanged.
