Nice one Rootbound.

I should finish mine this week-end. It's a sketch too.

While these harsh colors hurt my weary eyes, I greet your fine sense of composition and I'm intrigued by the concept.

Good luck

Impressive. This looks like a fully-fledged RPG.

First, I wanted to apologize for not finishing this one on time. As I feared, my last weeks have been hectic.

I obviously vote for newwaveburritos on each category.
His use of colors is always interesting.
Is this a mountain in the distance between the 2 buildings?

Congrats Rootbound!

QuoteTough decision with three great entries.
Yeah, each one with his/her own style.

Not sure if I'll have the time to finish my picture before the deadline. So here's my WIP submission:

It's a follow-up to my "Mediterranean" background of January

Congrats on the game!

I've got to catch up on the last episode but it's on my to-play list too.

QuoteYou CAN die in this one though, so saving is advisable.
It's getting serious
Never understood why they removed the death scenes in the 1st Broken Sword - Director's Cut. They brought tension.
Of course I'm not talking about totally unpredictable deaths that provide more frustration than tension IMO.

I love his 80s look.

I have an idea. Now to find the time and motivation...

"Yeah it's expensive but we're  the only ones in town."

I finished both games and had a good time:

The Gift
Spoiler
A straightforward and relaxing game where you go donate your blood plasma. Fitting with the theme. Some people find it stress-inducing but as an occasional blood donor, the game is pretty close to my own experience - except that we're given a meal after the donation. I didn't know you get paid to donate your plasma in the US. Selling human elements is forbidden in France.

Elevation
Spoiler
A polished survival game where you use various tools to help 2 robots escape a broken shaft in space. The experience is more emotional than the pitch could suggest. Your buddy feels alive and the rescuing pilot treat you like actual persons.
Visually stunning for a MAGS game.

I found 2 bugs:
- the game crashes if you use the refined laser with one of the objects in the right maintenance panel. Here's the output:
Quotein "room1.asc", line 640

Error: AnimateCharacter: invalid loop number specified

-You can use the refined laser on the alarm light several times.

Nice style. You seem to progress quickly.
I like the music in the gameplay demo. It reminds me a bit of the Final Fantasy 7 forest theme.
#73
Nope. It's all yours  :)

Seems like I voted for Hannah and she voted for me. Could someone please break the tie?

Concept: newwaveburritos - original take on the theme. It made me think of this recent comic book where some people go to the bar while other go to mass.
Playability: Volcan. I can picture a puzzle quite easily with the artifact.
Artistic Execution: lorenzo - like Obelix fell into the magic potion, I fell into European comics when I was a little boy.

QuoteThis reminds me of this wonderful 90ies mockumentary where an African anthropologist leads an expedition to rural Austria.
Mockumentary? Seems pretty accurate  :P

Wise choice to draw the temple BEFORE the ceremony, Hannah. Much nicer.

QuoteThe comic book style is pretty cool.
+1

Only 1 minute of gameplay in the 3:40 trailer. The credits and production companies are overkill. Writing them in the description would have been enough.

Keep up the good work.

Here's a patient for the nurse:

I won't be able to attend since I already planned my holidays for this summer. Maybe next time.

Tadam:

I changed the title. Now it's some sort of museum on a foreign planet dedicated to human ceremonies. Therefore the characters are part of the scenery. This may also help explain the mix of cultures and other oddities.
