Messages - Creamy

I scribbled something today with the theme in mind. Not sure if it qualifies as a background though:

If so, I may color it.

QuoteWell, it's a great start, @Creamy!  Very evokative.
Thanks. It's lacking in the "blight" department though. Based on a photograph by Charles Marville.

Congrats ZapZap!

Sorry that I failed you. I started too late and couldn't come up with something satisfying.

Beautiful desolation.

Nice work Rootbound.
Can I have an extension until the end of the week? My dog ate my drawing  :=

On the top of my head:

Shattenreize. Quite old. I can't seem to find anything about it now.

Tardigrades, an ambitious space opera by AnasAbdin. He used to post frequent updates with gorgeous backgrounds.

Buccaneer II. Already abandoned when I discovered the first episode - short but promising.

Wretcher. This one may still be in development but the demo is twelve years old. We plunge directly into a disturbing atmosphere.

Bury me in the sand. Unique summer vibes from the 90s. Unfortunately Funkpanzer hasn't been active since 2021.

Collateral Jelly The next update will forever be around sometime soonish  :(

Loosely based on the extinct thunderbird:

I admit that I chose it because of the name 8-)

Tempting but the Gamejolt link doesn't work: "Forbidden - You do not have access to this page."

Closing time.

@RootBound won this one. Here's a warm accolade and your trophy:

Hours of fun ahead!

I'm pretty divided on the poll. On the one hand it's quick and easy, on the other hand it deprives the artists of feedback.

Thank you to all who entered.

It's your turn, RootBound.

"Alas", cried the abandoned indie gem, "it's been years since someone landed on these shores".

"Will I have to wait the next lockdown before someone points and click me?" it pondered hopelessly scanning the horizon, eager to delight once again.

Concept: newwaveburritos. These lavish parties near Monaco could provide an interesting canvas.
Playability: newwaveburritos. Both pictures are perfectly playable. Let's just say that his picture has more points of interest, notwithstanding the UFO.
Artistic Execution: Hannah_Banana. It's a bit like comparing oranges and apples, but I think her picture is easier on the eye.

The foreground didn't work so I changed it.

There's a likeness between a traditional torch and a flashlight - both sticks emitting light at one end. Even if it's most common, "flashlight" is less self-explanatory than "torch" for a newcomer.
The French word is similar to the British one: "lampe torche".

Quote from: Cassiebsg on Sun 25/12/2022 18:52:13Meet Bubble, your friendly hopping ball.
Never leave home without it (it'll literally hop happily and follow you). And if you get tired, just sit on it and enjoy the ride.  Don't worry about motion sickness ever again... it's colour friendly! (laugh)

What a cute little rabbi-dog. Not the lego character or spaceship I was expecting from you  :P

Quote from: newwaveburritos on Tue 27/12/2022 06:23:43Gotta keep 'em somewhere!

Nice toychest. You seem to enjoy drawing small things in big pixels (and 16 colors).

15th (corrected). It may be less relevant in January but I kept the usual duration.
