Something about it looks vaguely British to me.  :-\
Hmm...
I have absolutely no idea what it is though.  :-D

If it wasn't for the modern technology in the background, it would kinda look like a screenshot from a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I'm not sure why.  :-\

Is it perhaps from American Horror Story?

"Baby Thief" and "The Grand Mini Mini Heist" sound like names that would belong to some of the cheesiest and funniest movies I would ever seen.  (laugh)
Now I kind of want actual movies made, based on those names.

Also, could you imagine if those were the actual names of those movies in English?

It's a real shame that your friend can't see past those titles though.

The 1983 version of the game was created by Eric N. Miller of Norland Software and he suggested a $10 contribution if you found his game entertaining.
Is it still possible to give that $10 contribution?  ???

It grinds my gears when people can't see past the name of something, and then they call you the idiot because you don't take things at face value.

For example: "Of course a coconut is a nut, why else would it have nut in the name?"

It's about time you released this!  :-D
Congratulations. Hopefully now I'll actually be able to complete the game (I couldn't get very far in the 1983 original).

EDIT: Whoa! 345mb! That's huge!

Yeah, just call it 4.
Sure the interface isn't getting an overhaul or anything, but it sounds like it's going to be enough of a departure to warrant the name change.
Besides, the informal naming scheme already suggests that most people see it as being a 4 anyway.

Also, what effect will switching from Allegro 4 to SDL2 have?

What grinds my gears right now is how prevalent innumeracy is. Or rather, people confidently and loudly spreading nonsense while also not understanding extremely basic math.

Like a prominent flat-earther who constantly tells his cultish followers that the 10^-17 Torr (pressure) of space is a negative number, meaning that space supposedly has a "negative pressure" and that the vacuum of space should suck the Earth's atmosphere right off it. Not only is the math and science misunderstood, but also they think that "vacuum" means like a Dyson.

Oh wow, really? By that same logic, we should all be dead.  ???
You'd think the obvious fact that space doesn't suck all of Earth's atmosphere right off of it, would tip him off that his logic is flawed. (Not to mention all of the other things he clearly forgot to take into account, including gravity, magnetic fields, ect).

It's like those people who come up with a design for a perpetual motion machine, and honestly believe it works. You'd think the fact that it doesn't work, would be enough to convince them that it doesn't work. But it isn't.  (laugh)

That must have been one very fast painter. It looks like the man was caught off-guard by a random photograph, except it's a painting.

Something that grinds my gears is when you come up with a well thought out theory to piece together a game's lore, making sure to point out all of the evidence and reasoning for how you came to this conclusion.
Only to have someone say "No, you're wrong." and that's it. No rebuttals, no other comments. Just that. All because your theory flies in the face of everyone's already pre-established head-canon.  >:(

Undertale?
Lakeview Cabin actually. But it applies to every fandom really.

Nose hair.
To add to that: plucking nose hairs. Why does it make your eyes water?

Get over it: you need to upgrade your phone every year now
+1

Although you know what grinds my gears even more. It was considered normal to upgrade your phone every year back when we were all using tiny flip phones. At least people have a reason to do it now. Who knows what the logic was for it back then?

I wonder if anyone has ever actually had that inscribed on their tombstone?
Personally, I hope someone has something funny engraved on my tombstone.

Grinds my gears when people say the moon is not made of cheese.. It is, a man down the pub told me so it must be true  (laugh)
I can verify that claim. I've had some moon cheese before. It almost tastes like Wensleydale.  :-D

Spoiler
I hope that this doesn't end up becoming the next big dumb thing everyone starts believing in.
Also, +10 internet points for anyone who got my reference.

Welcome to the forums guyNullVal.
I remember doing the same thing back with AGS and Game Maker at that time as well. I guess I just stuck with it.  :-D
Good luck with your endeavors.

How is it that the western world is even back to entertaining these opinions at all? Mind blowing.

I KNOW!!! To think that, in 2020, there are still people who believe that the Earth is a globe!
Spoiler
This is something that flat earthers actually say to try and "cleverly" turn the tables on "globers". And, yes, they call us "globers", or "globetards".

I honestly believe that flat earthers started from someone trolling, and it just got so out of hand that some people actually started believing the trolls.

Quoteyour nose can’t block a sneeze.

Actually, I have a success rate of about 80% sneeze blocking, if I close my mouth and nose... And 10% of those that I can't block, end up being an "inside" sneeze, cause my nose and mouth are still closed.  (laugh) The rest are those that just come way too fast for me to react and do anything about it.  (roll)

+1
Actually, it's my preferred form of sneezing. It's much cleaner. Although, quite uncomfortable.
