It's not that game I've heard about often but never played is it... La abadía del crimen?  (The Abbey of Crime)

Oh hey, you even got the accent in "abadía" right! ;-D But nope, it's not that one (La Abadía del Crimen used isometric perspective, with a very similar aesthetic to Fairlight.)

Hmmmmmm Spy Hunter?

Dammit!

LOL... your turn

(laugh)

Alright ya nerds, you want nostalgia? Have some nostalgia:

I wanted so bad to love this game, but the insane difficulty combined with the clunkiest controls ever made it impossible for me to ever finish it  :~(

Listening to this absolute monster classic of an album right now before it gets taken down from Youtube again (and again and again and again... the record label is relentless). I actually own the CD, but it's great to be able to listen to it at the click of a button without having to transfer the mp3 rips onto my phone.

And yes, that cover is by John Wayne Gacy himself.

Argh - 'video unavailable' here. Who/what was the track?

Hahaha wow, that was fast. It was "When the Kite String Pops", by Acid Bath.

Laura made me want to listen to Chelsea Wolfe. I love this one:

Yessss so good!

Heck if I know, but it looks like a weird alternative medieval-fantasy version of Commando...

The title really rubs me the wrong wayâ,,¢ with its half-Swedish, half-English spelling.

   "Midsommar" is Swedish: https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsommar

I will always always love Annie Lennox. Greatest thing to ever come out of Scotland.

Imma disagree on that one 8-)

Not fair - EVERYBODY loves Venus! (laugh) (laugh)

Sure, the original is great, but the Bananarama version is like a compilation of all the worst cliches of the 80s... and yet I love it :-D

And hey, the ONLY embarrassing thing about the "You spin me round" video is the other band members, who clearly could not live up to the fabulousness that was required of them :P Everything else is just the BEST (and the song is an absolute classic!)

C'mon guys ~ anyone else have a guilty pop music pleasure they'd like to get off their chest? (laugh)

(I think all my guilty mainstream pop pleasures are at least 25 years old, right now I can't think of any recent songs I would be embarrassed to admit I like :-D)

Basically a joke, or a comedy routine.

Hmmm, how have I overlooked this one?! I'm starting to run out of Halloweenish movies to watch so thanks for the heads up. :)

Laura, I'll jump in. Hope you get to feeling better!

Thanks! I gladly would have stayed in bed another day, but duty calls (roll)

And yeah, that does look like Midsommar. I haven't watched it yet, but I'll finally be doing so on Halloween night, I'm so hyped!

Trick 'r Treat?

Oh, well done!!!

My favorite Halloween movie ever! Over to you!

I love that movie! It has the perfect silly-creepy balance that makes a movie of this kind great to watch with friends and a lot of candy. And by candy I mean edibles. Anyway. Since I've guessed the last couple of movies and I'm sick in bed right now and away from my laptop, somebody else please take over :)

From Laura's List of Office Pet Peeves: people who smash their keyboards when they type as if they were releasing all their childhood frustrations on the poor thing.

And people who poke their monitors with their finger when showing you something.

Hahaha, and people who double click on things that need only one click.
