I would have thought 'Pick of the Month' should be about picking a game made that month, not from previous months, years ago...

I've always felt that it's about highlighting a game from the database, once a month, that (people feel) deserves more attention.

Ah, The Ruins. I remember it now, the old dude shooting the young dude, the leg bit, etc. Quite a good movie. Never read the book myself, but I would've guessed the movie to also be more recent than 2008 (at least sometime in the '10s).

If we're only going to post uplifting, life-affirming movies we may as well do away with this thread altogether. Plus, I don't think it's Hostel, or one of it's sequels. Seems a little too...outdoors-y.

It could be an Eli Roth (or perhaps a Rob Zombie) flick, though.

Weird. That popped into my head too, when I first saw that image. And while there is a playground in Let Me In (and the original Let the Right One In), I don't think it matches up. Plus the aspect ratio doesn't match (I think this may be an older movie), and I don't think the white in the image is snow.

I don't think there is a film called The Dubliners, but there is a film called The Dead, which is from Joyce's Dubliners. And, since they show it on TV every Christmas over here, I've seen it more times than I care to count. Of the top of my head, I don't recall that image featuring, but I could be wrong.
