Happy b'day, AGA! And belated b'day greetings, Kastchey! And anybody else I missed, like Stupot and Tzachs!

...

Time passes like some hideous bitch goddess, forever moving forward, forever pushing us towards..something.

Btw, I never really understood the thing with Larry Vales. I think he is from a game, but who of the current regulars knows that? Why is such an obscure character in the logo?

Wasn't Larry, at some point, the unofficial AGS mascot? Regardless, he is a very old reference indeed.

As to the anime girl...I'm not feeling it, to be honest. Nothing wrong with the idea or the execution, though. Like AGA said, anime, or an anime "style", just isn't something I would associate with AGS.

If there was to be a mascot in the logo, the obvious choice would be an anthropomorphic blue cup, would it not? And now I'm getting a flashback to a long ago thread...¬¬

I guess that the Zappa song performed by Massimo Bassoli is the other one?

Boom! (nod)

That Mona Carita track makes me want to get high and solve a crime (laugh)

Do it!

I don't know why, but I'm currently deep in a '80s Finnish pop hole that I can't seem to escape from.

(for the record, "minchia" is a swear word.)

That's the second time I've seen that word used in a song title! ;-D

I absolutely love (love!) italian genre movies, but I never really got into the Hill/Spencer oeuvre. Big fan of the De Angelis soundtracks, though. Especially...

Absolutely fantastic movie, recommended as a double feature with Nero's earlier Django.

Also on my playlist lately, funnily enough...

And...

I love it!  ;-D

Shock! 8-0

I've never had to resort to google to find an answer! (wtf)

But I will say that it's a fine line between posting a movie that's too easy, versus posting one that most people will deem "obscure". Having said that, we've posted hundreds of movies in this thread, with relatively few duplications, and we've never truly been stumped.

But it seems we have less players than we used too. :(

You are correct! It is indeed the 1995 live-action adaptation of Crying Freeman, which, IMHO, is better than the source material (and certainly better than the anime, which was terrible.)

Nope, and nope, though I can see why you would guess both of those.  ;-D

Another scene...

Haven't been in here for a while, but I'm stunned...STUNNED...that it's taken five pictures and Wayne Newton to identify The Adventures of Ford Fairlane! Andrew "Dice" Clay? The Diceman?! 8-0

*sigh*

It's like the '90s never happened. :(

but it may be it's only an underground hit in Norway and a bomb everywhere else.  (laugh)

I think it got a very brief cinema run in Europe, but I certainly only saw it on VHS originally.

I've stumbled on this woman Hazel O'Connor who apparently was quite famous in the 80's but I can't say I'd ever heard of her before.

I was going to say "Tch! Young people!", but you're only six years younger than me! :=

Also, an assortment...

If any of these tickle your fancy, and you're a Spotify subscriber, you can find "mixtapes" that I compile on there, for my own amusement, with music that tickles me. You know the name. :)

Funny pictures. Y'know...a rabbit eating a watermelon...a dog jumping rope.

Less of the mass murderers, please.

Okay, guess LimpingFish doesn't want it...

Oh, sorry, it totally went out of my head. :-[

Anyway, I recognize some of the people in this one...and that background in the second pick is very familiar.
