And the "time left" always fluctuates or is completely wrong!

I always picture a talk-show host saying:

"Do we have time for the clip before the commercial break? We do? Oh wait, my producer is telling me we don't. (CLIP STARTS) Well it looks like we do...(CLIP GETS YANKED)...Apparently we don't so we'll see you back here right after these wor...(COMMERCIAL BREAK STARTS)"

I'm nominating "Jacqueline White; Bad Trouble in the Red Desert" for the pick of the month (for October as I heard from cat) and here is my blurb:
Quote
Books are just words, right? Movies are just single frames played really fast, right? AGS games are just a bunch of rooms and objects, characters, and whatever tied together by some code, right?

We all know how each works, especially AGS, but sometimes....and only sometimes in a very long while...somebody manages to combine the words in a book, the frames of a movie, or the structure of AGS in just the right way to create magic...

The magic where the reader/viewer/player starts to forget the interface of words/images/game and makes the jump from their everyday reality into the world that the author has created for them...

This game falls solidly into the category of such magic...

The story, characters, gameplay, mystery, intrigue of this game just grabbed me instantly by the short and curlies and propelled me forwards. There was never a moment when I lost interest in knowing what the story was going to throw my way next...

And the puzzles: OMG BRILLIANT!!! Foreshadowing and logic used perfectly in almost every case!!!

GET IT OR REGRET IT!!!

Yeah, but not everybody likes South Park. Like me.

Then you know what not to do then...

Yup....I also finished the game last night, in one sitting. It took me about 6-7 hours without a walkthrough or hints but about 2 of those hours were spents being stuck on puzzles twice, but when I did find the solution there was not the usual "well how was I ever supposed to guess that?!" reaction.

The game is AMAZING!!! I totally agree with everything Shadow just said so will not repeat too much of his excellent review except to add:

It has been said in this thread that there is crude humour and not to play if you are offended by sexual references etc.

Well I will add that at certain points the crudity level gets really, REALLY high. I still thought it was funny, but I must admit being a little shocked myself at points. So if you're reading these warnings and thinking "oh, I can handle a bit of inuendo and some sprites fooling around a little." then you should be aware that the game takes it WAAAAY further than that. The game is not all about the sexual stuff and it is included now and then for humour, but when it is there it is very STRONG. Be warned!

Also Disney fans beware. If you have cherished Disney characters:
Spoiler
This game will destroy, degrade, and disgrace them in every possible way...I know I'll never look at Daisy the same way again.

Awesome game, unforgettable story-line, puzzles, and characters...
The ending:
Spoiler
Was both shocking and sad at the same time. I kinda teared-up a little, which was very unexpected.

Oh....and I also just realised that if you take the "seven deadly sins" into account while playing:
Spoiler
You will find each of them personified in the game characters. A nice extra layer of artistry I had not realised while being too caught up in the story to consider such subtleties...NICELY DONE!!!
[close]

Anyway: A new and instant AGS classic, but only for those very unfaint-of-heart and who can take offensive humour as just that: humour...
