Hm, I think it was Night if the Hermit by Roy Lazarovich, sometime in the early 2000's. I remember looking for games similar to Monkey island online and then stumbling upon NOTH and  subsequently discovering the AGS community shortly afterwards.

This really looks right up my alley,
love the graphics and the setting!  Definitely wishlisting this on Steam.

Oh no, that's genuinely heartbreaking. I never read his writings outside of the forums, but Larry Vales 1 and 2 were some of the first AGS games I ever played, and definitely a huge reason for trying out AGS and coming to the forums back in the days. R.I.P, Phil.  :=

Really sad to hear this is the final episode! Discovered and listened to all the old episodes from the start during a personal rough spot last year, and it was both an inspiration and a really great comfort to hear you chat about the ags community/game design/everything else. You will be missed!

Damn, this looks so good! Congratulations on the release, I'm putting it on my Steam wishlist now!

Arr, I'm in desperate need of some help right now.
I have this song playing in my head that I heard about ten years ago that I would love to find again, but as usual, I don't know who did it or what it's called. All I know is this:

- Musically, I seem to remember it as a mix between an organ/keyboard-melody and a more modern, dance-oriented beat(though still a rather subtle one) Rather repetitive, most likely intended to be a club-hit or something.

- There was also more or less one vocal line repeated constantly throughout the whole thing - If I remember it correctly it was something like "I see you ride o-on a storm / I see you ride o-on a storm / I see you ri-i-ding on a storm", sung in a rather cheesy, crooning, baritone-like voice. I'm not sure if this is sampled from some other song or if this was actually written for this track, though.

- The music video for the song featured an extremely and deliberately kitschy/colorful 50's/60's-styled party in a living room or something similar, with an equally kitschy/campy live-band playing the song in question.

The one time I heard the song and saw the video was through the Swedish tv-show "Mosquito" that aired between 1998 and 2001, and showcased new music/visuals/3D-graphics, so I suppose it's most likely a song made somewhere in between that timeframe. Anyone who has the slightest idea what this song might be, do please tell, because I think I'm going insane from hearing this song play in my head and not being able to find out what it's called...

Woohoo! Finally a friend of mine found the answer to this question that was more or less driving me mad. So I just felt the need to share with you what song I was looking for - It's a dutch dance track called "Ridin'" from 1996 by an act called Doop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSeu0jmF-oA&feature=player_embedded

I have to say it's better than I remember. (and the video is even campier/kitschier than I remember)

Stupot: Hehe, no, sorry, wasn't that one either, even though the lyrics did match. It was nice to hear some late-80's production values and drum machines, though! ;)

Appreciate the help, everybody, but no, as a Doors-fan I can say that it definitely wasn't "Riders on the Storm" it sampled, even though the lyrics are sort of similar. This sounded more like a cheesy lounge-singer-thingamabob rather than the Lizard King, if you get my drift. I'm pretty sure the lyrics were "[...]I see you riding on a storm[...]", and not "[...]Riders on the storm[...]", and the phrasing was different, too.

The overall mood of it was more that of a cheesy lounge act with a very subtle modern, electronic touch than a techno remix, if you get what I mean... It's really hard to describe it, especially since it was such a long time ago I heard it. Hah.

Haddas: Yeah, goddamnit, you're right! I think we're thinking of the same track, 'cos now that you mention it, I do think there were some cowboys in the video, too... Dancing cowboys, even? Damn, now I'm even more anxious to find this again...

Well, if Chicky can post moving images, so can I: Here's the brand new music video for the song "Ether Halo" by our band Ingnis (http://www.myspace.com/ingnis), in all of its black-and-white, pretentious, pseudo-expressionistic, cliché-ridden industrial complex glory!

And just as in Chickys case, I'm the singer!  :=

Well, the most up-to-date photo I have is this, from a photoshoot with our band Ingnis. Me being the one in the front.

Songs from our brand new album is up now, so do take a listen if you have nothing better to do.

Personally, I'm sure it's Buzz "King Buzzo" Osbourne:

This is probabaly only funny to other swedes who either love Star Wars or grew up watching a kids' show called "Skrot-Nisse".
Being a combination of the two, I find it hilarious.
Just to clarify, this is a home video made by the site owners father sometime in the mid-80's, in which he does his own Star Wars-movie for his kids by moving around SW-toys and doing their voices. Now, that might not be quite as fun as the fact that the father narrates the whole thing with the exact same accent as the main character in the kids' show mentioned above, which at least made me roar with laughter the first times I saw it.
I suppose you have to have to be in a certain state of mind to enjoy it. Hah.

Now, this one is international. Siggi gets a mouthful of microphone.

Hah, ah, I thought I had mentioned that, but I obviously didn't. Heh. My bad.
I have to confess I've always been keeping my distance from von Trier's stuff in the past, though. (don't ask me why, it was just a preconcieved notion about his works, I suppose...) But after watching Riget, I became more and more interested in his other stuff, and realized I'd been a bit too quick to write him off. :)

I've been watching the brilliant danish tv-series Riget("The Kingdom") quite obsessively recently, and it is without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever seen. Incredibly moody and atmospheric; it blends horror, thriller, mystery, drama and comedy all in one, and with one of the best actors of all time, the sadly deceased Ernst-Hugo Järegård in one of the leading roles as the bitter, dane-hating swedish neurosurgeon, and directed by none other than acclaimed danish film director Lars von Trier.
...In other words, this is a good excuse to post some favourite clips from the show:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqvDztUFWLw (The classic opening sequence)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyJHTxtbC1E ("Danish Scum!")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvx0jxW5hi0 ("A faecal hell")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i12FeCTgmy8&NR ("Compulsive lobotomy")

I truly recommend watching it if you can get your hands on it, even if you're not from Denmark or Sweden. :)

Time once more to post some up-to-date photos, I suppose.

Hehe, nice one, Worm. A bit of Freddy Kreuger-goes-Goth, methinks... ;)
I'd say you need a pair of pilot-sunglasses before you're "super-duper-pooper-scooper"-goth, though.

This one is... Well... Just... Too wierd... I still don't know if it's for real or not...
It's a White Power-themed Heavy Metal duo. With mullets. And mustasches. And falsetto singing. And video-editing-technology straight from 1985.
I couldn't help but laughing, anyways. Heh.

And this one is just great. Refused - "New Noise". A favourite song for the moment.
