Serpico? I don't remember Dean Stockwell being in it though (or his lookalike).

No? OK, here's one last screencap and hints:

It's a 2014 Korean dark-comedy/thriller about a dirty cop having a hard day after he runs over a pedestrian and has get rid of the body, while dealing with lots of other complications. That should be pretty googleable.

No, not necessarily. It's just that it interferes with this particular workaround because of one of the most frustrating limitations in the AGS scripting language.

Unfortunately, it seems that this solution was horrible to implement in retrospect.

How so? Seems to me that there should only be two or three steps to it:

1. Create the struct type like Wyz outlines, wrapping all the API methods you need.
2. If you have any AudioChannel* globalvars, change them to regular variables exported by a script and imported in the header.
3. Change every AudioChannel* declaration to a SafeAudioChannel declaration.

The only possible problem I can see is if you've been passing AudioChannel* variables as arguments to functions, or had them as members of other structs.

OK, another one, then:

As you might glean from the frame, it's a Korean movie.
#1391
Should be AudioChannel* audio; â€" but yeah.

No guesses? OK, here's another screencap:

Hint: It's a recent film, not American.

It's technically Quintaros' turn, but since he hasn't jumped in I'll throw out another one:

The book was originally published in 1873, as a pretty typical robinsonade (the subtitle is simply "A Norwegian Robinson"). I don't think it's ever been translated into English, so the chance of Moore having read it is pretty negligible. More likely it's just a matter of having a similar idea independently â€" unless they're both based on some other source (real-life or fictional).

The novel is out of copyright and available here in epub format (in Norwegian). The scene in question is in the chapter "Howell og Nelsons mannskap."

It is! Starring the great Gabriel Byrne. Though in Norway it's called Haakon Haakonsen.

And being a Norwegian co-production, I'm sure it was a much bigger deal where I grew up than it was in Canada. (Unless I'm completely misremembering, I think we took a class trip to the cinema to see it.)

In fact, the bit I remember most vividly isn't even in the movie, but only in the book: A guy shipwrecked on a reef builds a raft just out of the bodies of dead sharks he hunts with only a knife, tied together with shark guts. Now that's a kickass adventure game puzzle!

Cool.

This is a film I vividly remember seeing at my local movie theater as a kid:

I've already used almost every movie I have on my computer (that I can get a snapshot from; damn you iTunes for not letting me take screencaps!), but here's one:
