Oh, got it now (guess I haven't seen it after all). They're supposed to be remaking that, I heard.

Oh man, it looks familiar but I can't quite place it. It's not Run Lola Run, is it?

Is it ever going back, or is it the wrong way on a one-way track? :~(

Sure is! I always felt sorry for that conductor who'd been waiting for them to come back and finish the railroad, and then when they finally return it's just to take away the rails to use in  another, even more hare-brained scheme.

The connection is that Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski also recreated an old black-and-white vampire movie, in their version of Nosferatu.

Greetings, my friends! Based only on the secret testimonies of the miserable souls who survived this terrifying ordeal, I'm gonna guess: Plan 9 from Outer Space?

Can you prove that it didn't happen?

Yes it is. See the documentary, it's fun. Jodorowsky is such a madman, but everyone seems to like him (even his son is remarkably chill about all the crazy stuff he was put through). I wouldn't hold out much hope for the "actual movie" given that in Jodorowsky's mind it would run "12 hours! 20 hours!" and most of the cast he had in mind are dead.

But they produced a stunningly beautiful pitch document for potential studio partners, in the form of a printed, several-hundred page book full of designs and storyboards by Moebius, Chris Foss and HR Giger, and SFX proposals by Dan O'Bannon. That would be the Holy Grail. I suspect the rights situation is complicated, though. (The estate of Jean Giraud sued the documentary for showing his storyboards and using them as the basis for little animatronic sequences, and the Herbert Ltd. Partnership are famously dickish.)

I'm playing around with Wordpress, and I'm looking for a plugin that provides a "book reader" widget, something along the lines of the Amazon preview popup. In other words, a gallery viewer that displays a series of images (pages) one at a time (with no auto-change), and allows visitors to flip from page to page (or go directly to a particular page). It should be possible to browse in-page (not as a popup), or expand the viewer to full-window or full-screen. Options for scaling, for viewing two pages side-by-side, animating page flips, etc., would be nice.

I've only found ones that are meant for animating image galleries, not something suitable for a reading experience. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it. (I might even shell out for a commercial plugin if it's good and not too outrageously priced.)

Oddly not mentioned in any of those threads, pretty much all the Oceanspirit Dennis games are open source.

Edit: Here, have a link! http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=43979.0

Both screens look vaguely like they might have been from Batman Begins, but you'd have to think someone would have recognized it by now.
