Well, if nobody else is going to take it: Cool Hand Luke. (Great movie!)

Shouldn't you divide those widths and heights by 2, CW?

When people count "Ready, set……… go!" or "One… two… three…………………… go!" with an extra long pause before the go-ahead, as if the purpose of the count is to build suspense by letting you know the "go" is coming but not exactly when, instead of to help you anticipate exactly when the "go" will come.

Almost but not quite as bad is when the pauses between the count are ridiculously long, so that it becomes almost impossible to follow the rhythm with any degree of precision.

Very nice Steamed Hams adaptation!

And it's so cool to be able to just play the game directly on the GameJolt site. Perfect for bit-size games like this.

I think you're probably thinking of The Big Sleep (since that's the one with a guy in a wheel chair), but no, it's neither of them. As I said, it's a comedy. I thought maybe some of you might have watched it over the holidays:

I'm afraid not.

Hmm, it hard to find shots that really convey much more information than already given. It's a pretty static setup (it was based on a play).

Nope. We are talking a comedy here.

No, but you've got the correct starring actress and it's from the same year…

I suppose there is a faint resemblance to James Stewart… maybe? But that is not him, no.

It's A Wonderful Life?

No it isn't.

It's a fun movie, made on basically zero budget. I do have to ask myself why it is that I instantly recognize a frame from a movie I watched once, 25 years ago (that's Peter Jackson, sans beard!), while I sometimes struggle to remember and identify fairly close relatives I have met many, many times…

Anyway, something a bit seasonal:

Hellboy 2?

That's such a specific guess that I feel like it must be some kind of joke, but I don't get it.

Bad Taste, right?

So what happens currently if one or more of the source files are deleted or moved? (Or the project is shared with someone who doesn't have the source files in exactly the same file locations?) And when in the process is this auto-refresh supposed to happen?

Let's say you have 99 audio clips, but one of them cannot be found at its source location. Does the whole auto-sync process grind to a halt, and with no way to make it refresh any of the others?

Because this seems to me to be a very likely and common occurrence.

What I'm experiencing is this: I have a project which is tracked in git. The AudioCache folder is not included (as per advice, IIRC). At one point I made a branch of the project and removed a bunch of audio files. Then I switched back to the main branch. However, the AudioCache is not updated to restore the missing files, even though most of them are in the source file locations (a couple were moved when I reorganized some files, and there are other files in the AudioCache for which I don't have the source files anywhere else). But it might also be that I didn't go through the necessary step to trigger the update.

PS: I wholeheartedly second morganwillcock's comment in the linked github thread about how the weird "in-between" cache/update approach of the AGS IDE makes it almost impossible to understand what state(s) the project, builds and "preview" are in.

With sprites, there is a feature to reimport a sprite or a selection of sprites from the source file(s). This can be very useful if graphics are updated, and IIRC it is also the basis for an experimental feature to recreate a missing sprite file from scratch.

I would like to request similar functionality for audio clips. Sometimes you need to update the audio for whatever reason (for example to adjust the volume for consistency), and currently this requires a whole sequence of steps to replace the clip in AGS (or the "hack" of overwriting the file in the AudioCache). It would also be useful if a missing AudioCache directory could be automatically recreated from the source files (to save space with source control tracking).

It's back now.  :)

In case this got lost with all the site update work happening. Here's an example of the problem:

The module predates the new Viewport/Camera API that was introduced in AGS 3.5.0, and those API changes break it, as they do many other modules. Not sure why 3.5.0 Alpha is compatible. I'll ensure it is compatible in the next update.

The "Last post" preview for each board on the main forum page is now showing mangled versions of symbols for me: &amp for ampersand and "quot for quotation marks.
