What Grinds My Gears (GMG) is when people use an expression and then put the acronym of that expression in brackets after it but then never refer to that thing again for the rest of the text.

I never cared much for Disney anyway but I agree it's rather pointless to remake all their old back-catalogue in live action. I guess they don't have to pay any writers.

One Disney film I did like was Aladdin. I know they're remaking that, too. I'll definitely be interested to see how they do it but I won't be rushing out to watch it on the first night.

We have hard benches.  No comfy chairs with cushions.
I believe that's deliberate, to deter people from hanging out there too long and also so as not to attract homeless people to sleep on them

The house is the Cook Mansion, in Piru, California.
It's appeared in lots of films and TV shows...

That explains why I recognize it. I probably saw it in The X-Files.

I recognize that house.
Is it Sabrina the teenage witch?

As for Ghost's one, I was going to suggest breaking it down and dealing with each line one by one. But I got nothing. So I resorted to a bit of Google.

It turns out those are verses from two different songs:

Anything My Mama Don't Like by Helloween
Under a Violet Moon by Blackmore's Night

But we still have to solve this part:

Shine one on the other's trademark. What do you get?

No idea...

No idea but did you notice the cameraman's finger taking up half the screen in the last clue but one?

How did everyone know the elf was drunk?
Because he was legless (Sounds a bit like Legolas)

Why could no-one afford to live in Mordor?
Because everyone keeps chucking their valuables into the volcano.

*pokes Stupot*

I think Stu might be busy travelling back from England. I doubt he'd mind if someone took over the next one.
Yeah, sorry. It's been a busy week and I'd forgotten about this. Thanks for relighting the flame, Frodo.

I think this is The Lost Room. That was a mini series that involved a Motel with a door that led to different places on Earth. It also had a bunch of items that all had some different power. It could work as an adventure game. But I don't remember anything about combining the items.

He played the US President...
I was debating whether to comment that he looks a bit like Obama but thought some might think I was being racist so I kept scrolling. Then I saw this comment. Clearly some casting director thought the same thing.

The Oliver Twins aren't twins???? Nooooooooooo!!! They lied 🤥

The only game dev brothers I can think of from that era are the Oliver Twins. But your riddle doesn't sound like it describes a Dizzy game.
