I'm not so sure these days as I haven't tested it for a while but you used to be able to get away with clicking a wrong square or two on those things.

Okay, I've reinstated the two extra days out of an abundance of kindness, neighbourly love and general do-goodery on my part. I expect nothing in return, except for one of your lovely stories.

There was a stretch of time where Slasher was almost single-handedly keeping MAGS afloat. I'd have to go back and check the numbers but he may well be the person who won the most contests, purely by being the only entrant so many times. And yet right up to the end he insisted on calling it MAG.

He kept his graphics fairly simple but no two of his games looked or played the same and many of them were genuine fun.

I propose we, as a community, decide on our favourite 10 or so Slasher (barefoot/steptoe) games and put together a little bundle that could be featured prominently for a while.

Yep. It used to be the rule that no pre-made assets were allowed, but that was abolished some time ago. You can use any publicly available pre-made graphics.

Yes that is correct. The used to be a rule that no pre-made assets were allowed but we loosened that rule to try to lower the barrier for entry. So yes you can use existing graphics etc, if used sensibly And aim to give credit where it's due.

So, as an experiment, I have created a parallel jam in itch.io and invited users there to sign up and submit their games in the thread.
