Ok here is another clue, the lead character is acted by a person who is not usually known for acting, and the main supporting role is also acted by a person who is not usually known for acting, however both in their other professional lives are incredibly famous.

Ah saw this recently its Annihilation.

The movie was "ok" but it contained a scene which featured a mutated monster thing that I thought was most of thee most disturbing creatures I have seen in a movie in a while.

wow that was fast, well done...  maybe its good someone guessed it early because I think I would have struggled to find shots in the movie that didn't give it away as being a star trek movie.

ok, sorry folks I have to jump back in here , sorry for guessing again so soon, but this is without a shadow of a doubt my all time favorite classic fantasy. I even based whole game design around its aesthetics, the movie is also responsible for my small obsession with anything maze like.
