Okay, this is the first movie my eyes focused on when I looked over for an idea.

I only played the NES version.
But correct.

I don't know why, but I somehow knew to guess Blake Stone.
I don't even remember actually playing the thing.

Huh... I wonder how I either missed this miniseries or forgot it. I would have had the Scifi Channel in 2006.

Yeah, I knew you didn't mean literally.
But I haven't seen any tv show that I'd really say felt like an adventure game. Including Maniac Mansion...
Of course I've seen several tv shows which could work as a basis of an adventure game.
So, not Detectorists...
Collectors?

The only adventure game brought to TV I've seen is Maniac Mansion. Which very much strayed from its source.

So, I'm going to guess Detectorists, which I haven't seen, but is in my Netflix queue...

You are correct.
And the show I watched Sunday was the new Lost in Space, which has Parker Posey as the fake Dr. Smith.

Since I hadn't heard of The Shooter until you mentioned it, nope.
The watched both the show that made me think of this and this show on Netflix.
And for those who haven't figured out who this actor is, it's Tom Wright. Who I first saw on Star Trek Voyager as Tuvix.
edit: I just checked, and it seems this show is no longer on Netflix...
So, here's another image.

Admittedly I didn't remember James Garner had been on it. And I couldn't remember if if John Ritter actually died or had been taken to a hospital and died shortly after.

Okay, this is from a show I thought of yesterday since an actor I saw in something I watched yesterday was also in this. And scifi fans might recognize this actor from something.

One simple search proved to me which show this was since I could only think of 2 that David Spade was in and I knew for sure this wasn't the other...
Sadly, 2 actors from it died.
8 Simple Rules, which at least at one point was 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter.

If there were any episodes of Lost in Space where they went to alternate Earths, I didn't see them at least. Which doesn't mean there weren't. For the most part the family was stuck on the same planet, unless that changed in later seasons.

It wasn't the video quality that told me it was the 70s, it was Cassie saying that it was the same time period as The Tomorrow People that told me that. But there's a specific look to most American tv up until maybe the 90s that these images just don't have. I don't know if it was the specific film used or what.  And I can't say that it's true for all non-American tv. It's just one of those things I can't quite explain. Kind of like how I can instantly tell a soap opera from any other kind of tv.

And I was just confused at how the images could make you think of either show is all. Not so much calling your guesses crazy. Anyway, sorry. I'll try to refrain from such in the future.

A big part of it is probably the difference in NTSC vs PAL encoding.

Lost in Space and Happy Days really confuse me...
The video quality and setting is very different from either.
The hints and video quality tell me it's from the 70s and most likely not American.
Not being credited makes it difficult. But I'm guessing Play For Today since the episode he was in is the right time period and is called the Peddler.

How did I miss it being The Lost Boys? It's my favorite vampire movie. But it does at least confirm the California flag.

But I am quite certain I haven't seen this movie with Edward Herrmann. So I'm just going to randomly guess Critical Care.

Looking at the flags, I'm 95% sure the one on the right isn't an American flag. It's possible it could be a California flag.
The one on the left could be virtually any flag with red and white in it...
Absolutely nothing about the movie looks familiar to me. So I'm just going to guess Cannery Row since it's an 80s movie, set in California, and I haven't seen it.

I assume you mean Space: Above And Beyond.
What else would you expect from Fox? The X-Files is pretty much the only sci fi series they made that did't get cancelled too soon. And Alien Nation is the only one fortunate to get multiple movies to tie up most of the loose ends.
