I don't have that resolution option, tried some 1024 x 600 and 1280 x 768 tough, and it does not work.

Mmhh, demo4 runs fine on my laptop using 1280x768, can't check 1024x600 cause my laptop doesn't offer such resolution.

As Crimson Wizard noted, you could try to run the demo in windowed modus.
Just edit config.cfg and change 'fullscreen' from 1 into 0.

If that fails too, you can try dgVoodoo, as Crimson Wizard also noted.
Run dgVoodooSetup.exe and try Fullscreen with 16bit depth

Have you tried running demo4 after changing the laptop's resolution to 1280x800?

On what device (pc/laptop/other) do you try to run the demo?
What is the resolution your system is running in?

Thanks arjOn! First three work great with your instructions, but demo 4 is not working no matter what I do.

Strange, since demo4 is just a win32 application and should therefor run fine from XP to Win10.
It might have to do with your system, for example your graphic card.
You might wanna try to update your graphic card driver...

BTW, when you try to run demo4, a file named ipscumm.log should be created.
This log file probably contain specific info on why the demo doesn't run correctly on your system.

Yes, you can run all 4 demos on a Win8 and Win10 machine. Below is how 

First:

• Demo 2 and 3 do require a DPMI server in order to run, download cwsdpmi.zip here
• The first 3 demos run fine using dosbox, the easiest way is to download and install D-Fend Reloaded (which is an easie to use front-end for dosbox which comes with a dosbox installation) and install it.

Then:
Indiana Jones - The fate of Atlantis II (demo 1) pathdemo 14-01-1999:

• drag 'n drop RUNDOS.BAT to D-Fend Reloaded, and run the game.

Indiana Jones - The fate of Atlantis II (demo 2) ipscumm11 14-01-1999:

• unzip cwsdpmi.zip and copy CWSDPMI.EXE to the demo folder
• drag 'n drop ATLANTIS.EXE to D-Fend Reloaded, and run the game.

Indiana Jones - The fate of Atlantis II (demo 3) beta6 27-10-1999:

• unzip cwsdpmi.zip and copy CWSDPMI.EXE to the demo folder
• drag 'n drop ATLANTIS.EXE to D-Fend Reloaded, and run the game.

Indiana Jones - The fate of Atlantis II (demo 4) engine 20-03-2004:

• should run fine in Win8 and 10, no dosbox and no DPMI server needed

(or is that 404 line simply related to the next line, the favicon which is not present?)

I cannot download from the earliest of the two and don't recall if I have been able to do so before. The second one is clearly also the beta - the file name is sq7mania2_betaversion.rar

Seems to be a duplicate.
Both AGS Databse pages of this game offer the exact same download.

Nope, there's only the non-english version, created at 17-09-2007.

DLL's are in compiled folder and the mainfolder.

The only thing u have to do, is make sure u put SDL2.dll inside ur debug and compiled folders, otherwise you'll get error messages.

As I love the horror genre, I like and remember the original Clock Tower game.
And yes, AGS games like Wretcher, Jorry (been tester for that one) and Metaphobia are great titles too.

Hope you manage to make some productions with AGS.
Should be doable, since there're lot's of info to be found on the forums and there's always people willing to help you out.
