*puttingonmoderatorhat* I understand that this version of the game is hugely different (bigger) than the original version of 2020. In this case, please create a new database entry for this version. The ratings and comments on the game page all refer to the old version and it would be misleading to players who come across that database entry. While it is encouraged to add small updates and fixes to an existing entry, huge changes should result in a new entry. In case you don't want people to still download or play your old game version, you could simply change the title of the old entry to "A Son of Xenon - old version" or something and link to the new entry in the description of the entry.

English is so weird. Today's Quordle had the following two solutions

which are spelled almost the same but have a completely different pronunciation.

Youtube short videos. Don't get me started on why videos and screens got wider and wider until being impractical and we are now having vertical videos to compensate for that. No, I mean those super short <1min videos. You can't rewind or fast-forward there. Now people try to pack as much information as possible into one minute which means quick speaking and even text overlays. And when I don't get a sentence they just said or wasn't quick enough to read the text, I HAVE TO WATCH THAT WHOLE DAMN THING AGAIN just to rewatch one tiny bit. That really grinds my gears.

@Stupot, ah, I think I get you. While I don't like movies that try to scare people, I like splatter comedies, that probably could also get the label "horror". (And no matter how often I watch Staplerfahrer Klaus, it will always make me laugh).

No worries, my rant was not directed only at Stupot but at some of the recent posts regarding horror movies. I already considered to write something before Stupot posted but then I had to.

It grinds my gears that some people can't accept that some other people just don't enjoy some movie genres they like.

Why is wrong not wanting to watch scary movies? Maybe some people don't enjoy being scared. I do neither.

Got it on my second try today - and such an important word 

I want to chime in since I somehow triggered the issue. I think I understand both sides. Let me explain:

I think most agree that the idea of a girl being a blue cup is awesome.

Manga is indeed the main artistic style for visual novels, so this could mislead people surfing the site to think AGS is an engine for VN, when it actually is so much more (of course you could also make a VN with AGS, but this is not the intended purpose.

What if we keep the girl, but show her in different styles, to demonstrate the flexibility of AGS? i.e. Award winners in pixel style, nominees as Manga, 404 as hip super lo-res, maybe even a 3D render for another topic?


Btw, I never really understood the thing with Larry Vales. I think he is from a game, but who of the current regulars knows that? Why is such an obscure character in the logo?
