Bad luck today, got it on 3rd but could have on 2nd.

Spoiler
After STARE I figured it might be ASHEN or ASKEW and picked the wrong one.

I got 305 and 307 both with 3.

306 was a very nice word. It took me 5 guesses. It was one of those cases where you can't come up with a reasonable word for quite some time and think it must be a very obscure solution, only to realize that it is quite a common word but with an uncommon letter or letter combination.

Thanks to CaptainD I started to play Quordle from time to time. There, they have really obscure words. Luckily, once the puzzle is done (won or lost), all 4 words are linked to a dictionary so you can look them up and learn something. I like this a lot.

After I was lucky with 2 guesses for #302 and 3 for #303, I totally messed up today. Has been quite a while that I was not able to solve it. It was not a difficult word, just so many options.

There was a guy who purposely got 6 all black rows in hard mode. He had to put quite some effort into it to make it happen:

Today, I got it with my 4th try.

After I got just an E that was not at the end, I had the feeling there would be a double E. I was right and got it after BLEED and QUEEN.

It also took me 5 guesses today.

Spoiler
After STARE got me 3 letters already, I chose SHAPE next (which was not so great, it would have been better to go with SPADE here, as Snarky has pointed out). So next were pure guesses with SHADE, SHAKE and SHAME.

295 I got with 2, today (296) with 4. It think this was a nice word, today.

Spoiler
Q is a fun character, considering how it changes U from vowel to consonant. I'm looking for the day when QUEUE will be the word  (laugh)

Got it on 2nd today  :-D

Too bad you have to be logged in to use it.

Today I did it without hard mode. My initial word got me all but one letter and I could immediately think of at least 4 word that would fit. So I got it with 3, but it doesn't feel satifying. Next time I will go back to hard mode and guessing, this feels much better (and I might have got it on 3rd try as well).

Wordle is a bit inconsistent when it comes to languages and nationalities: Latin, Norse, Irish, Hindi/Hindu, Farsi, Slavs and Danes are blocked, but Dutch, Swiss, Swede (though that can also be a root vegetable), Anglo, Welsh, Gipsy/Gypsy, Greek, Turks and even India and Spain(!) are permitted.

Seems to be, today I tried ROMAN and that was accepted.
I only got it on 6th try by trying out all possible combinations with the characters left after running out of ideas what the word could be.

This could also go in the "What grinds my gears" thread. Wordle is not accepting LATIN as a valid word. I mean, sure, it's extinct and stuff, but I was learning this language 6 years at school and they say this is not supposed to be a word?

Babysitting rich people doesn't sound too exciting, but temporal puzzles sound awesome! Ben has really improved his animation skills  8-0

After a few days with mostly 5 guesses, I was lucky and got it on my second today  :)

It probably makes sense to wait for Miez to finish his work so a common graphic style is established and other pictures match that style.

Lol, that was a funny one. I didn't get ANY letters in my first 2 guesses, but then managed to nail it with my 4th.

Wordle 278 2/6*

I got very lucky with my first word

Which was:

HEIST

Ha, that was my second guess, which lead me to the solution on my 3rd try.

Got 277 on my 3rd. On the other hand, I lost the Austrian Wördl yesterday.
#319
I got it on my 5th, but I had no idea what the word is, it was just the only plausible combination with my remaining letters.
#320
@Stupot Putting us under pressure, eh?  ;)

I got 275 in 3 as well, today.

@milkanannan I didn't get CAULK (never heard that word before, even though I have applied it myself in our bathroom), I don't remember if I got RUPEE. I got VIVID only with my 6th guess, but I think this was a fantastic word of the day - difficult, but not obscure.
It happened that I got the word without even knowing what it meant. English language is, in a way, quite predictable. I look up those words in a dictionary afterwards to learn something.
