Very well done! I had to rewatch the episode after playing the game.

I wonder what was the first story to
Spoiler
utilize a similar plot about replacing a ruined dinner with something.

I remember this plot type from several Disney comics I read back in the 70s or 80s - I think Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck has done it several times. (But it's probably a lot older than that.) But the Simpsons take is my favourite.

:-D I just see the title of an episode: "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: The Hunt for the Power Ring".

Something about the interface reminds me of Dragonsphere so I'm wondering if Microprose made any more graphic adventures, but I still have no idea what game this is, sorry can't even guess!  :(
They did...but this definitely isn't Rex Nebular, which is the one I can think of at the moment.

I haven't played this game, as I can't recognize these locations, but I _may_ have played a demo of it or seen a rolling demo of some sort if it was on a coverdisk/disc back in the days.  ???

That cracked me up!  (laugh) (laugh) (laugh) Thanks for pointing it out. There's no way I would have found it otherwise.

Why should Easter have all the eggs?
That's not the only Easter Egg in the options...

I suppose you're talking about the goose, or is there something else I missed? Small bug report: When I set the Goose to "forgiving", then had it chase me around and went into the options again and changed it back, it immediately attacked me. And after that there was no way to get out of the options screen. (Workaround: simply don't do that.)  ;)

No Alan around, so this time Santa has to do the job himself. This game looks, sounds and plays really polished. Great animation and a very funny story with the puzzles making up a natural part of it. Lots of little touches...I simply love the "festive" mode for the mouse cursor! (You can find it in options, people. Why should Easter have all the eggs?) Great game!

I think perhaps this is partly because of our age, but mostly because of the media world we live in. With fewer channels on the tv and only live broadcasting, more people watched the same. Nowadays, we can pick and choose, meaning that I don't know anything about most "influencers" (which is a horrible word, worthy of its own grinding my gears post) or musicians performing in genres I don't listen to. Most tv shows with "celebrity specials" star people I've never heard of.

I mostly hear Ed Sheeran's music because my kids want to listen to a top 40 channel on the radio in the car, so I'm not all that familiar with him. However, I like the songs and music videos "Perfect" and "Lego House" (starring Rupert Grint in the video)....speaking of resemblance... :-D

But you've got to admit you love it when he does it like that?

Ah, been a long while since I've played this one!

Conquests of Camelot: A Search for the Grail

Yes, that's it! One of the first games I played on a PC, probably back in 1990, it's remarkable because of the point system. Many puzzles had multiple solutions, but if you chose to be violent or sinful, you could end up with finding the Holy Grail and not being worthy of taking it. I also loved that the help system was to talk to Merlin.

Josiah, you're on.

Hacker?

No, the game's universe isn't really tech oriented. It has more of an adventure/Indiana Jones' vibe imo.

Ah! This is how Hacker looked like, apparently:

Perhaps it's a DuckTales game, then?
