Hi, Ponch! Thank you for the donation and for playing the game!
I'm happy you enjoyed it!
I tried to keep the puzzles straightforward enough while hopefully providing some challenge, to keep the story going. That, and the fact that I ran out of time to add more. (laugh)

QuoteHollywood people! If anyone of you is reading this, you can have the rights to the story for a million dollars or two, I'm that humble!
Two dollars it is, then.  ;)

Wait a minute! ...is Ponch the Hollywood executive I was waiting for?!??!?!

I was really impressed by what you accomplished! Everything works really well. The 3D view and movement are really fluid and the game feels slick. The fog effect creates a nice Halloween-y atmosphere.

The exploration part is also well-designed: I never felt too lost (while having the feeling of being in a big forest) and the "blocked" parts made sense. The smoke from the chimney of the house is a nice touch and navigation help. Plus, the 3D effect when going around the house is incredible.

Gameplay is simple, but fun.

I especially liked the hidden tomb! Finding it was a cool puzzle.
The ending was sweet.

Also, it's really nice of you to release the code! It's probably way too complex for me, but I'm sure more intelligent people can learn a lot from it :D

As with I Rented a Boat, another really cool game from you that uses AGS in an "unintended" way, creating something unexpected, but good! Congrats!

I really enjoyed the demo! It makes you feel like you're investigating a case, finding information that leads to other, er, leads, interrogating people, and linking clues.

The text system is a really cool mechanic and makes you feel like you're asking questions yourself, instead of choosing them from a list. It also pays to keep notes on your own on names, places, and events.
The other puzzles featured in the demo were interesting (especially the shorthand one).

The story is intriguing, even though we only see a small bit in the demo.
Can't wait for the full game to come out!

If you like detective films/games, definitely give it a try!

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll give it a try!
Can't wait to fill my games with broken TVs and dream sequences, just to use these effects! :D

Stick to AGS games and you won't need a new card :P

Eri0o as usual creating things that I would've never thought possible in AGS! :cheesy:

The effects are fantastic, I wonder if they would work at higher resolutions.

Maybe the player is trying to assemble a team to make a game. With puzzles about finding an artist, musician, and so on.

KyriakosCH: happy you like the style!

cat: I guess I suck at self-promotion! (laugh) Thank you!

Shadow1000: thanks!  :cheesy:

Is that a very young Johnny Depp?

hiroka: Thank you! :D

Since the judging period of the game jam ended, I've updated the game! It's nothing huge, but I fixed some bugs, typos, and the structure of some sentences (thank you heltenjon for pointing these out!). Plus, I've added extra responses to some interactions, especially after seeing what some of the streamers tried to do.

So, it's mostly a bit of polish to the game. But if you have already played it, there's not much new, I'm afraid. :)

Some weird remake of that 007 film with the villain with metal teeth?  :P

It could be cool to have a game that is both a learning tool for developers and a fun game to play. This way it could be enjoyed even by people who have no intention of making their own games but enjoy a good adventure. :)

Very nice concept and the palette in these screenshots is just lovely!
As a fan of Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories, I really look forward to this game.

I'll post a new one tomorrow because I can't think of anything right now.
If someone else wants to take the turn in the meantime, go ahead!
