Hey all,
I'm a life-long fan of adventure games. Went through Sierra's Quests when I was a little tyke, and had a boatload of fun with the LucasArts games. The Dig is probably my favourite, though Monkey Island II and Grim Fandango are up there too.
I live in Toronto, Ontario. I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Drama at the University of Toronto last year, and I'm about to finish up my M.Sc in Software Engineering.
I've always felt the inclination to write, design and build adventure games - though I've never really used AGS. I don't know AGS script - though from what I gather, it's a bit like C (which I'm certainly familiar with). I've toyed with the idea of building an adventure game engine from scratch, just for fun. When I heard that AGS was starting to open it's source, I got pretty psyched - I can't wait to get in there and muck about.
Thanks for reading,
-Mike
