damn you and your The Witness Podcast! I bought it in the christmas sale and after hearing talk about it more and more now I started it and I#m just blown away from how much you can do with these small puzzle games :) And I just bruteforced my way through the 4 hedge mazes. I could understand the solution to the first maze after solving it but the others were just every possible combination :) And now I'm stuck in the treehouses with all these sun symbols... :D
and hearing you talk about other adv game characters while playing the whitness is also great, makes me wonder how the protagonist in the witness even looks like, you can't even see your own reflection in the water. There is no witness of the witness so to say. He probably looks something like king graham, his shadow has this same hat (or really weird hair).

go for 16:9, it is so much smoother when playing in fullscreen on a 16:9 monitor, and a 16:9 monitor is pretty much a standard household item nowadays. keep the graphics pixely and oldschool but adapt bto  modern screen resolution. :)

hey, this is not all there is. What are you hiding? Any chance there is a picture of you in your underwear on the next page? What is stopping you from posting it?

These characters look pretty good and pretty pretty, I like'em ;-D
You could add some more subtle highlight light from behind or from the sides like in your forum avatar. It should look pretty cool when you make this in one color, leave on a new layer and add this light on top of the portrait within AGS and change the color of the light (by code or by changing the color in the paintproggy and importing lots of files into AGS) according to the location the characters are and how the lighting happenes in that scene.

this is an awesome idea for a game. The mechanics sound really fun and the graphics look great already, yeah, best of luck with the project and post lots of updates please :)
That witch house looks great in that painting style but also almost too friendly. or maybe this is intentional to deceive the player :)

neon world GFX are always cool! Looking great so far and the story blurb is also very interesting. The only downside is the release date that is so far away!!! :-D

Cool, congrats on getting on steam. That's pretty awesome! ;-D

a music workshop or rather an artistic workshop? I'd be interested in both and hopefully get some stuff done!
#77
hehe, you look sooo wasted in the preview image. Oh man, really, 3,5h of video?!

Now that's an interesting theme!

"The challenge of designing puzzles that are challenging is the challenge in itself!"  :-D (@40:25)

also Ben's idea that having a complex puzzle spread out over a huge area is not very engaging is something I totally understand. But it is cool if you need some things from the various places and these things all can be solved by solving puzzles at that one place and finally all the treasures from the different places combine to solve the uber riddle. Sometimes it could make sense to have the fishing rod needed at the seashore and not at the mountainlake where you actually need it. this needs good balance.

nice! Can you integrate this into the normal LA template?
