Very good CaptainD well done :)

Spoiler
Statistics wise during the first world war field hospitals in general did not count a dead soldiers cause of death in terms of type of wounds.

I am surprised you didn't get the first riddle :D

Well done anyhoo

Mandle

The first one is actually already a famous riddle. You reinvented it!

It doesn't have the "6-corners" part though, and probably for a reason:

Spoiler
The grammar in your version makes it sound like every individual 6-cornered object weighs many tons. The entire mass doesn't have six corners, only each individual piece.

Ah, really that well known? lol, I figured it was rather obvious / easy but had no idea it was famous.

Yea I was not sure about the 6 corners, I agree with what your saying but I came to the conclusion since its a riddle I could be a bit loose with it.

Well done anyway dude :D

Gilbert

Hmmm. I've never heard this but after reading Mandle's comments, is the answer to the 1st riddle 'snow'?

Ah, clever.  Yes the "six corners" bit threw me off, nice bit of deception there!

The actual solution to the riddle is very clever. I wish I hadn't read it before trying to figure it out.

Oh...I had missed and entire page of solutions... :-[

A new one I just came up with:

Often drawn but not on paper,
We are the beginning and the end,
Where the stars caper.

What are we?

Here is one I've always enjoyed that surprisingly stumps a lot of people.

What is the only 5 letter word that becomes larger when you add the letter “r” to it?

Sorry for the late reply, Mandle and CaptainD are correct. :)

Gurok

I know this isn't riddle C&C, but I think that would work better if it were the opposite.

What's a five-letter word that becomes shorter when you add 'e' and 'r' to it?

Or perhaps someone can think of a better alternative. I'm suggesting it because it defies expectations (how can a word become shorter when you add letters to it?)

What was wrong with my answer? :)
Also, I agree with Gurok. I might phrase it as 'when you add two letters'. It still seems pretty easy...
