Rare american slang for french fries? Not really had a chance with that one.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Andail

I don't get it. I get that she was french, but is she supposed to have been fried? She was burned at the stake, as far as I remember.

Renodox

Yes, she was burned at the stake.  Generally, when people are burned to death they're known to have been fried.

Anian

I think that's for the electric chair, not stake.

Homer: MMMMMM ... Steak ... (drools)

That riddle was a tough pun.

Here's one that appeared in two separate games:

What's tall as a house
and round as a cup
but all the king's horses
can't draw it up?

A silo? Humpty Dumpty? A big blue cup? (Lol) A grown man's small intestine? Which is actually about as tall as a house. What can horses not draw?

I'd say... A well.

That is the correct answer!

Humpty Dumpty?

That was one of my guesses when I first encountered the riddle in Zork 2. But when it made a second appearance in Ultima 5 I decrypted the dialogue files to find the correct answer.

Horses can't draw anything, I mean how would they hold a pencil?!?

I have three fingers and can't count to four.

What am I?

Drunk?

Here's a riddle that I heard from a show:

If a farmer gave 17 cents to one son, and 8 cents to his other son, what time would it be?

Gilbert

Spoiler
A quarter past two?

Hah yeah seems to be it. I complicated it as I thought
Spoiler
Quarter passed to two.
I was not aware of it because it is very very rare to tell time by saying how many minutes to go until the next hour in my language.

I came up with one! I hope it's logical enough:)

The one, which travels to the air... Is not a plane, but moves with machinery help.
The one, which travels to the earth... Is not a spider, but moves with eight legs.

Renodox

To answer the riddle, I think it's precipitation.  Water going up and snow going down.

Now here's one that may re-kindle interest.  This isn't so much a riddle as a puzzle but translate this to more understandable terms:

"The female contributor of the deoxyribonucleic acid of my biological genetic makeup was quite the well pleased member of the following base of your suburban life partner's melodious orations."

Hint: This is being spoken to a man.

Baron

"My mom is a fan of your wife's singing."

or maybe she liked your dog's barking....  It's hard to tell with the various assortment of suburban life-partners these days.   (roll)
