I will step in with an easy one if you have ever heard it.
You got me in the woods.
You did not want me but you tried to find me.
You then went home to find me because you could not find me.
What am I?
Pro is the opposite of Con                       Kids of today are so much different
This fact can clearly be seen,                  Don't you know?
If progress means to move forward         Just ask them where they are from
Then what does congress mean?             And they tell you where you can go.  --Nipsey Russell

There is an extra clue hidden in the riddle.

A splinter?
Correct. The clue I was going to give was that i did not use the word forest for a reason.

Nice one!

I think maybe it should be "wood" which can also mean a forest. I considered that "woods" might be a trick but discounted it because a plural of the material "wood" doesn't exist.

Stupot

Ahh cool. I had a few back-up ideas ready, but 'splinter' seemed to fit.
I might try and think one up but anyone feel free to jump in with something.

Nice one!

I'll have a go then. :) Made this one a while back:

I can be found among trees, but never just one;
You don't like me when it rains, and love me in the sun.
I carry you when you're tired, but never along;
when it's time to move on, I'm easily gone.

Oh instead of spoiler tags, just let me know you know without others knowing, one way or another. That might be fun. ;-D

Wasn't positive it was correct cause I didn't get the “but never along”.  I do have a new riddle ready but a little longer for some to guess yours?

Thanks! Yes, sure, let's give it a bit more time. :)
Spoiler
The 'never along' points to the fact an hammock is stationary; in respect to for instance a horse, that could also carry you, but does move--well usually.  :-D

edit:
Well, I guess enough time has passed; go ahead! :)

Here's one I just wrote late at night with no idea if it's good or not:

Tables upon many we're beaten with disdain,
Quite enough that we should maybe complain,
When one of us fails,
Every last one is doomed,
Regularly swept under the broom,
That sweeps trash to the pail:
Yesterday's garbage replaced at retail.

What are we?

I spotted the acrostic! :)
