In an original boardgame that could be described as the jumpsuit-clad cousin of Chainsaw Warrior and Munchkin, you're an alien on the run. Within 12 hours you need to make it through a mazy suburbs, abduct cows from heavily guarded pastures, and brave an Earthling military base in order to catch a ride on your mothership.
There is little time. There are many dangers. But you CAN make it, and there are always cows.

A very original and addictive card game with great graphics and a perfectly fitting soundtrack. However, the difficulty is to high and most character classes are badly balanced. With some polish in the mechanics this game would get a much higher rating.

Orion needs milk, and it needs it in the next 12 hours! A challenging boardgame, ACRONYM is a testament to AGS versatility. Battle, outwit, charm or use-alien-technology on pesky earthlings, abduct bovines, make it back to spaceship before time is up. Be prepared to restart often: strategy, tactics and…

Nice graphics and entertaining for some time. The randomness and the lack of choices make it get boring after some replays though. Nice effort overall, especially for a MAGS game.
Great Fun inside!
This is what I remember first about it: how much fun I had! I couldn't tell from the picture/description or the ratings/comments... Oh, boy, how it pulls you in! You really feel you are the protagonist. Imagine this television show you have grown fond of, where something unexpected happens every time, this high-spirited action/comedy flick (usually known as Adventure) - then imagine you are there, in the show, talking to the characters and participating in the events! Unlike your average adventure game hit where you get the feeling that you sit in some (small) corner and witness everything, playing only a third hand with the puzzles now and then, here it is all about you! Of course, it takes a (very) little while to get used to it, including the read of a short manual. But the more you put in the more (and faster) you get out of your experience! And the effort is not greater than that required to throw some clothes on before going out to this party where all your friends are expecting you. Now, the point of playing ACRONYM is not winning or reaching the end, is having fun. Yes, it abounds in randomness, but this is what keeps it fresh! And half of what happens inside depends on your skill, on your choices. When you fall, you laugh harder than anyone else while getting back in to make use of that new bit of knowledge; it's quite addictive. I couldn't call it unbalanced just because the mechanics behind the scene don't let you progress easily. On the contrary, it is because of the harmony of its elements, seen and unseen, that ACRONYM manages to make you feel a part of the show. For me it is unique in its niche, whatever that is; and I could argue that it is an adventure game. A Pick of All Times, past and future.
Lovely graphics, but I couldn't get into it. Everything felt just too random.
