About

It is a truth universally acknowledged that, as a young lady, Jane Austen wrote Pride & Prejudice based on her own observations of polite society.

What is forgotten about this novel is how close it came to never being written at all...

Step up our forgotten hero. Can he restore a young Jane's faith in humanity, including the humanity of her own siblings? Will the book Pride & Prejudice ever be written at all? This game is guaranteed to nearly answer some of those questions!

This game was made for MAGS May 2020: 'Forgotten History'.

Awards & Reviews

AGS Panel Rating

A pastiche of the Austen novels. The style and writing are competently parodied.

The game is set in the proper Jane Austen tone and should be rewarding for fans of her works or the costume dramas inspired by them. Puzzles are mostly dialogue based and not too hard. It's _not_ an adaptation, but a sort of tie-in to the JA world.

Despite the rather unpolished interface it's a sweet and charming game if you just want something pleasant to occupy yourself with for a few minutes.

By Creamy on 7 June 2020

A competent effort. It feels a little stilted though.

I love the title of the game. I'm not a Jane Austen fan but this well designed interactive story still entertained me.

The game is as boring as one can expect of the novel by Jane Austen, so if you like the novel you will like this game. The music, writing and scenic setting makes this a solid MAGS game.
