I agree with the other criticques:
Beautiful pixel art graphics, and detailed animations.
Good atmosphere, slow paced.
Intriguing story, good dialogues and general writing. Likeable characters. Feels like a novel.
In the demo it is not an issue but it is true that the general pace is slow including the character moving around. If there are more locations it would be nice to have a run option or have the ability to teleport to certain rooms using a map or something like that.
Overall a fantastic game, looking forward to the full version.
A promising demo. I'd pay money for the full game.
Pros:
- excellent atmosphere.
- outstanding animations.
- Documented from a historical point of view.
Nitpicks:
- the character is a little slow for what appears to be a big castle.
- the demo stops just when it gets interesting!
- I wouldn't lean a ladder on glass :P
Good graphics, good plot, good sound effects, and good character animation. Fairly linear gameplay so far.
This has all the makings for an excellent adventure, would very much like to see Castle Dornstein brought to life.
