About

Wooly Rockbottom has a problem. He's a beardless Dwarf, cursed to be made fun of by the people of Glenfurdan. After learning of the legend of Thor's magical beard, Wooly decides he must have it, but before he can leave he must choose a companion: Fenwick the Flighty or Bram the Bold.

The game puzzles involve actually inventing objects to solve problems, so be prepared to do more than just inventory manipulations.

This game was made for the OROW 4 competition.

The interface is definitely a problem, and I apologize. I didn't have time to actually implement the smithing minigame I wanted and so I had to rather quickly go back and add an inventory gui and have the item creation work entirely by inventory manipulation. If I had a few more days I would've made a tutorial at least, but this is what happens when you have a week to make a game :).

It looks good, but I find the interface rather confusing.

First, this games strikes as amazing. The graphics are really good and together with the music give this game a great atmosphere. The introduction sets the mood for an epic, yet humorous stoy.

Unfortunately, you soon start struggling with the tiny controls in the unresponsive and very crammed inventory GUI, and you find out that most of the game consits in playing pixel-hunt with the items on the screen, and thus the experience has become disappointing. I couldn't finish it, even following the author's hints at the forums, even though I've played my share of adventure games.

All in all, a very promising and expectation-building game that might turn sour for players who don't have disposable mouses and fingers. If you are into that kind of experience, by all means play the game; the art is superior to what you find in most AGS games.
